Carrie Martin

Carrie Martin

Carrie Martin, singer/songwriter/guitarist from Hull, returned to music after a 20yr break encouraged by none other than the noted acoustic guitarist Gordon Giltrap. She cites her meeting him as the most important thing that has happened to her in her musical career. Influenced by Eva Cassidy and Ann Wilson from Heart, her writing and performing style nevertheless defies categorisation.

Carrie's main guitar is a Vintage VE2000DLX Gordon Giltrap Deluxe, but she has recently fallen in love with her Vintage Paul Brett Viator VTR800PB-USB which features on two tracks of her new album Seductive Sky.

'These guitars are great both in the studio and on stage. I'm constantly being asked about them after concerts, that's not surprising to me as they have an amazing character, sound quality and tone about them'

Carrie has performed in Ontario, Canada, this year and is currently touring with Gordon Giltrap whom she has already appeared with at 'the prestigious 'Jim Marshall Auditorium', The Stables, Wavendon. Her third album released on the new label Lithium Records is called 'Seductive Sky' and includes special guest appearances from fantastic JHS Artists Elliott Randall (FretKing), Gordon Giltrap (Vintage) plus Daniel Karl Cassidy and Oliver Wakeman.
